One of the most well known and recommended is certainly Parenzana, three day race from Poreč to Trieste driven on previous railway tracks of the old narrow-gauge railway, which will mark its 15th anniversary this year. Since it's passing through numerous Istrian vineyards, it's also known as the railway of the wine, and its magnificent landscapes combined with tourism and professional race creates a winning formula, attracting both home and foreign cyclists from all over Europe.
