Vodnjan: November 18-20, 2011Production of olive oil started in Istria back in the days of the Greeks and Romans. These days it is especially celebrated in Vodnjan at an event called Days of young olive oil, an event that has been gathering olive oil farmers and producers of the entire Adriatic region for 7 years. It also attracts guests yearning to taste products made of this healthy and tasty fruits.
Many high quality producers will gather in Vodnjan from November 18-20 to promote the importance of consuming quality olive oil, as well as to promote healthy and good quality diet through their own delicacies. Their aim is to establish the Istrian olive oil as a high quality indigenous brand.
Apart from this, guests can enjoy a rich cultural program, sampling of the produce with an expert guide and various lectures. The organizer of the event is the City of Vodnjan-Dignano, with the help of the Istrian County as the sponsor.
